Bradley Collins

Panelist - Songwriting and Publishing
In
his position as Associate Director, Writer/Publisher Relations
of BMI, Bradley Collins works with people in every aspect of
the music business -- songwriters, artists, publishing companies,
record labels, producers, managers and attorneys -- as he assists
BMI writers and publishers in the administration of their musical
works. Among his responsibilities are connecting new writers/artists
with those who can further their careers; evaluating writers’ material
for potential industry referrals; helping writers in negotiating
publishing deals; setting up BMI showcases; and participating
in seminars and awards presentations featuring BMI writers and
publishers.
Collins joined BMI in 2002 from Acuff-Rose Music Publishing,
where he was a song plugger responsible for securing cuts and
administering the catalogue. Among the writers he
worked with are Dean Dillon and Casey Beathard, and Warner Bros.
recording artist Ray Scott.
Among
his professional memberships are the Recording Academy; the Country
Music Association, the Academy of Country Music; the Nashville
Songwriters Association International; Leadership Bluegrass;
the International Bluegrass Music Association; the Americana
Music Association; and the Gospel Music Association.
His community involvement includes the Music City Tennis Invitational,
a benefit tournament for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital
and Great Strides: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis
(CF).
A native of Nashville, Collins holds a B.A. degree in Journalism
and Mass Communications from Samford University in Birmingham,
Alabama.
