After spending his entire corporate career with CBS Records/Sony Music, Mike Martinovich parlayed his knowledge and experience into a successful marketing consulting firm where he worked with record labels, artist management firms, radio, music retail, and the world of media. Past and present client roster includes: Anderson Merchandisers, Capitol Records, Sony Music, Asylum Rcords, Joe Diffie, Mandy Barnett, The Charlie Daniels Band, Randy Travis, Wynonna, Toby Keith, Pam Tillis, RCA Records, Arista Records, Broken Bow Records, Sony Music, Asylum Records, Sire Records and Image Entertainment. At Sony Music, Martinovich was a sales representative, (radio) promotion manager, sales manager, branch manager, VP Merchandising (New York), and VP Marketing (Nashville.) During his 11 -year NY stint, he played an integral role in the successes of Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, Placido Domingo, Michael Jackson, Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, James Taylor and Pink Floyd. In Nashville, he led the marketing team which launched Ricky Van Shelton's successful career, designed the marketing campaign career which gave Dolly Parton and Patty Loveless their first platinum album in years, and spearheaded the marketing thrust which propelled Joe Diffie, Collin Raye and Mary Chapin Carpenter. His proudest achievements include helping sustain, indeed escalate, the careers of legends Willie Nelson, George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Merle Haggard.
