FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What if you are not a singer but a songwriter - is this program a good fit?
A: If you're working on a career as a professional songwriter, but you don't aspire to take the stage, you'll still have a great experience at CSU. As you can see, many of our classes cover material that applies to songwriters, including Publishing, Songwriting, Song School, and The Law and Country Stars. The songwriting community is the heartbeat of country music, and as you look at the bios of our panelists and moderators, you'll see that many of them are songwriters, and many of those that aren't work closely with songwriters.
Q: I don’t have much experience performing live, and I’m a little apprehensive. Will I be expected to perform if my song is selected?
A: If you do not wish to have your song considered for "Country Star University Open Mic Night," just make a note on your registration form, or indicate in the message section of your electronic payment through paypal by entering the words "Please do not consider my song for CSU Open Mic Night." We still urge you to submit your song for possible use in Song School. All songs reviewed during Song School will be done so anonymously, so if your song is selected, you can take advantage of the constructive criticism our panel of experts will offer without anyone else knowing the song is yours (and of course if they proclaim that it's the best thing they've ever heard, you're welcome to stand up and take a bow, too!).
Q: Is there an age limit on who can attend Country Star University?
A: No, there's no age limit to who can attend CSU! However, if you're under 18 must have a signed liability waiver from a parent or guardian.
We're still putting together the F.A.Q section. If you have a question please contact us and we'll answer it for you.
